Attracting potential followers to your company page is one thing, keeping them engaged is another. Below you can find 3 tips on how you optimize your LinkedIn page to improve your presence and authenticy.
1. Set a profile image and banner
The easiest way to show you’re serious with your company page, is by moving away from the default avatar and banner and update it to your own. For Talos, we decided to keep it clean and recognisable and go for the same layout we have on our homepage.
The specs for the banner are:
- 1536 x 768 pixels
- PNG format
- Maximum 8 MB
- Rectangular layout
For the logo we went for our own logo. The LinkedIn profile image specs are:
- 300 x 300 pixels
- PNG format
- Maximum 8 MB
- Square layout
2. Use the company name and subtitle section
The about us section on your company page is the place where you can write anything visitors need to know about your company. In our case, we went for the KISS principle – ‘keep it simple, stupid’. The name says what we do ‘LinkedIn marketing’ and with subtitle we hope we activate people to visit us but also have a laugh:
You don’t have to put your legal status such as LLC or B.V. here, and I don’t recommend you doing that. Just use that space for something more relevant.
3. Fill in website, contact details and about us
Make sure you tell your visitors what you do, and how they can reach you. This should be as clear as possible, and with an easy call to action. For us, this resulted in the below ‘about us’ section:
Thanks for the tips, will ensure I implement them to get the most out of being part of this platform
