Can Talos filter on Industry?

A question that is asked us a lot is whether we can filter posts on Industry to specify the results. In Talos, this is possible but you have to keep the following in mind.

• Not everyone keeps the industry in their LinkedIn profile up to date. We see that people often switch jobs, and sometimes even switch to a completely different industry. If this is not manually updated in their profile, we won’t find their posts. If you want to check what your current industry is, visit your settings and click Name, location, and industry. This will open your topcard editor and you can set your industry at the bottom.

• The industry filter is not available for companies. So if we would enable the country filter, you’ll only like individuals from that moment onwards.
• Want to see for yourself? Using this link you can search for posts containing ‘offshore’ in the ‘oil and energy’ and ‘shipbuilding’ industries.
